Osnabrück RFC got their first competative game underway versus 1RC Bielefeld, with a well worked 32:12 win
What started out as a good first half of rugby showed the the supporters that the ORFC are here and mean business
Colin Bundy Brett opened the scoring with a penalty for the home side giving the debutants a 3:0 lead shortly followed by a try from Dominik Scheffer, powering his way over from close range, Brett missed the conversion but the lead extended to 8:0 20 minutes later it was Gray Cocking who was next to cross the whitewash using the strength of the maul to his advantage, Brett landed his kick making it 15:0 before Bielefeld crossed over almost immediatly bringing the score to 15:5 which they converted to make the score 15:7 on the 33rd minute, but it was all going Osnabrücks way in the first half Lee Smith scoring just before half time, Brett's fail conversion attempt brought the half time score to 20:7
The scond half saw a different Bielefeld take the field, and it wasn't long before they made their power known scoring a try soon after kick off with a conversion bringing the score to 20:12 to the boys of Ballsport, after a stint of Dominance by the Bielefeld wolfpack, the ORFC regained control of the game Steve Shirley using his size to smash his way over the line Brett converted bringing the score to 27:12, on the 75th Minute the Ballsport boys got their last try of the day, Captain Guga Imnadze speeding his way through the tired Bielefeld line although Brett did miss the conversion bringing the final score to 32:12
a good day was had by all and it's always good to start with a win
